What is the difference between Travel Documents and Travel Attachments?

Travel documents and travel attachments are features that allow you to upload files to the app, so travelers can have access to them at any time.

The main difference between Travel Documents and Travel Attachments is where these files are shown in the app:

  1. Travel documents appear between all buttons at the top of the travel screen or the main screen. You can choose the order of the button by contacting the support.
  2. The trip attachments appear in the "Travel Information" bar in the app. It can be placed at the top or bottom of the page, you can choose when creating the documents in the "Trip Attachments" section of the trip.

Another difference is the file type:

  1. Travel documents are files that you would need to upload from your computer (or mobile device if you are adding them directly from the app) and they cannot be customized after uploaded.
  2. Travel attachments can be created and customized: you can choose the name, select the type of document (text, file, or link), and add the content you want to appear in the app. You can also create a travel attachment template in the "Library" section of the CMS if you have recurring content. This way, you can quickly import it for each trip by clicking on the "Import from the Library" button.

The final difference concerns the skills of travelers:

  1. Travel documents can be added directly from the app. Travelers can upload any documents they may need by selecting the "Travel Documents" button on the travel screen (an "more" option - Add document will appear in this section).
  2. Travel attachments can be created and customized only by administrators in the CMS and not by travelers.

Both types of documents can be visible to all travelers on the trip or you can select which travelers should have access to them.
